Bank Pocztowy has launched two new savings products for retail customers. The offers include a Piggy Bank and a special deposit for new users.
New savings products
According to PRNews.pl, the bank has introduced a Piggy Bank (Skarbonka) and a "Welcome Deposit" (Lokata na dzień dobry). Both solutions feature an interest rate of 5% per annum.
The Piggy Bank, which is based on a Savings Account, offers 5% per annum for amounts up to 5 tys. zł, while any amount exceeding this limit earns 0.75% per annum. This promotional rate is valid until 31 January 2027 and can only be activated via the Pocztowy24 online banking or the Pocztowy mobile app.
The "Welcome Deposit" is designed for new holders of a settlement and savings account. It is available until 13 November 2026 for a five-month term with 5% interest per annum. The minimum deposit amount is 500 zł, and the maximum is 50 tys. zł.
What it means for customers
For individuals looking to save regularly in smaller amounts, the Piggy Bank acts as a mechanism for systematic saving. However, it is important to note the lower interest rate applied to funds above the 5 tys. zł threshold.
New customers can access a five-month deposit that transfers the principal and interest to the customer’s account upon maturity. Only one such deposit can be held per ROR account.
What to check before deciding
Before deciding, it is worth checking if the product meets the technical requirements, as the Piggy Bank requires digital banking access. For the deposit, verify if the amount falls within the allowed limits and if you qualify as a new account holder.
