Guides

Guides explain how banking products in Poland work, so that the numbers in our rankings are easier to read. We cover the things that decide what an account or deposit actually gives you: fee tables and the conditions behind a “0 PLN” account, promotion terms and how new-money rules work, how interest rates are applied to a balance and for how long, and how deposit guarantee schemes cover your money, including the Polish BFG and the schemes of other countries that apply to some fintechs.
Each guide is based on the same kind of sources as our rankings: providers’ official documents, such as fee and commission tables, promotion terms and interest rate tables. Where a guide refers to a specific offer, we link to the ranking where that offer is scored, so you can see the current edition and its source data.
Guides describe how products work in general. They are not individual advice and do not tell you which product to choose. Your own situation decides that, so always read the provider’s current terms before you open anything. If you spot a mistake, let us know through the Contact page.
