Twisto has launched a new way to confirm identity when opening an account. Since October 2026, users can complete this process using the mObywatel application.
A new verification method
According to PRNews.pl, Twisto has introduced identity verification via the mObywatel app. This new option removes the requirement to take selfies or photos of identity documents.
Patryk Krajewski, Country Manager at Twisto Polska, stated that the goal is to simplify the registration process. The previous verification methods remain available for those who prefer them.
What it means for customers
The feature is available to new customers and those currently using services like Podziel na 3 without a registered account. Having a full account provides access to additional financial tools, such as a payment card, bank transfers, and installment options.
Data from the Ministry of Digital Affairs from May 2026 shows that approximately 12 mln Poles use mObywatel, making it a widely used solution in the European Union.
What to check
Before proceeding, users should check if they have the mObywatel app installed. If they do not use the app or prefer the old way, the traditional identity confirmation process is still an option.
