Decline in purchasing power of Polish deposits
According to PRNews.pl, households held approximately 1.53 trillion PLN in banks at the end of August 2026, with 400 billion PLN in term deposits and over 1.1 trillion PLN in current and savings accounts. Finax estimates that with inflation at 4.1 percent, the annual loss in purchasing power of these deposits is about 44 billion PLN.
